Hi ya all >wave<
I'm not one who is into 'products', however; Telegraph Magazine, yesterday: Jan Masters has spoken to Glenn Lyon's, Clinical Director of the Philip Kingsley Trichological Clinic in London who suggests: "....... natural ageing rather than specific problems with hair loss, two factors usually come into play. One is that the anlagen - or growing - phase tends to shorten as you age, so hair doesn't have the chance to grow as long as it used to; the is why hair may feel thinner throughout the lengths.
"The 2nd is that the diameter of each follicle decreases, which means the hair shaft itself isn't as thick."
Similar to what my hair dresser told me earlier this year.
Brushing is important as we age: no dense bristles; don't use heat, allowing the hair to dry naturally with very little rubbing; rethink your shampoo/conditioner. I tried 'Aussie' shampoo and it suits, I think the hair is thicker
.
Jan has tried Kerastase Densifique Bain Densite shamppo which contains : hyaluronic acid, glouco-peptiees ad ceramides to strengthen and promote elasticity with success. She also uses the associated conditioner. Cynic that I am, don't we wash it all out
?
Grey hair tends to be coarser and prone to dryness.
Larry King has launched 'My Nanna's Mousse" which encourages 'bounce'.
