PPE 'not fit for purpose' (Covid Winter 2021 into 2022)
« on: October 20, 2021, 12:38:51 PM »

Stage B hasn't arrived.  Yet.  Instead of getting ahead of the game, they are deciding to wait  >:( and watch  >:( despite cases rising.  Surprisingly not many are wearing masks and no longer keeping distances in shops, public transport etc..

It will race through schools until everyone has either gone down with the Virus/not.  If people are sensible and realising that many goods are stuck at Felixstowe so no point going to look in shops, they will be doing everyone a big favour.

It's all about not 'overwhelming' the NHS.  We know that there is a shortage of GPs and Nurses but that isn't a new situation.  Our surgery is down to 1 and a half GPs  :-\.  Until Covid we could get an appt within 1.5 days.  Now it's 2 weeks to get a phone call.

They let the genie out of the bottle months ago when they told us it was all over. Can't see many people obeying if they're told to use masks again.

I shall carry on as I have throughout this pandemic, being careful, wearing a mask in public, washing hands, keeping distance and only going to the shops at quiet times. I’ve become good at armchair shopping! However, I’m retired and live on the edge of a village with plenty of options for walks. I have choices. Others don’t. They have to use public transport, go to work etc. It’s worrying. They say that mask wearing helps, so why have we been told it’s not mandatory any more?

They’re watching the situation apparently.
Wearing masks MIGHT become mandatory. MIGHT.

I still wear mine everywhere I go, and will continue too.

I'm not the single person then who thinks that horse after stable door has been opened  :-\ .......... I love my masks, I co-ordinated yesterday: dark colour polo-neck jumper and dark jeans, bright mustard-coloured Gillet (there's posh  ;D) with a yellow mask with black bees on it.  No one seemed to notice though  >:(  :-X

Nope. Might be nice if we moved a bit closer to Australia but we don't seem to have moved at all  :)

Starting tomorrow, anyone in the province going to indoor venues like indoor dining at restaurants, including  food courts in malls, hair salons, movie theatres, sporting events etc. has to show proof of vaccination by a printed enhanced certificate or show a QR code on your phone.  We still have to wear masks, but sports arenas and restaurants etc. will soon go to full capacity indoors. Things are opening up a bit more this month but we are still to follow the masking, sanitizing and distancing. I still need to be masked at all times at work because the kids I work with are not vaccinated.

I don't have a mobile appropriate to any updated vaccine information  :-\.  I think that printed passports would cover where ever people want to go/visit/fly/get home ..... along with masks when seated with strangers.
