I wonder if I could please ask for some help? I recently started my HRT again. Estrogel and Utrogestan both daily but again have found that the Utrogestan gives me heart palpitations. I have tried it orally and internally and both ways it’s the same.
(the palpitations happened the last time I tried HRT when I was peri meno, my palpitations were so bad I was sent to a heart specialist who confirmed my heart was healthy and I narrowed it down to the Utrogestan, I have up the HRT as I could not find a balance that worked for me). However I have just finished cancer treatment which has pushed me into full and sudden menopause and I am suffering with terrible all day hot flushes, tearful, anxiety and horrendous night sweats). I have enough to cope with recovering from cancer, I’m finding it hard to cope with this too!
Has anyone found an alternative pregogesterone without the side effect of palpitations that you can take alongside Estrogel?
Ideally I’d prefer to stick with bio identical but understand this may not be an option so what would you suggest (before I go to my GP)? I’d prefer to have an idea before I speak to him.
