Is Utrogeston is the same dose for any amount of oestrogen ?
« on: October 07, 2021, 08:56:21 AM »

I am following up from a post earlier this year, as I have been putting off taking action, but now need to do something, so my question is:

If Utrogeston is the same dose for any amount of oestrogen why would you have to add more progesterone to evorel?

The context is that I had been using Evorel sequi for years with great success, but now as I am going into full menopause I believe, the symptoms of hot flushes are happening with vengance and disturbing my sleep.  It is clearly time for me to change my HRT regimen and I am wanting to stay with patches. (having tried oral preparations with poor results).

I understand there is no research on the increasing the patches, and that it is important to keep uterine lining healthy, hence balancing estrogen and progesterone levels, but why does Utrogeston or Minerna coil work with any levels of oestrogen, but not the conti patches??

I hope someone can explain it to me.
Thank you
