Hi, I was on 3 pumps of gel and now have 3 sprays of Lenzetto. It works brilliantly and absorbed immediately. It is so much more convenient than waiting around for the gel to dry and the time for application. I’m really happy with it ☺️

Chrixx, I also would like to move to lenzetto from evorel 75, but no clue what dose to start with. If it’s true that three sprays equals 50mg patch,  then how do we work out 75? Or maybe it doesn’t work like that? 🤷‍♀️

Hey Nas.. today I have gone back to mu old estradot 25 and done 1 spray of lezetto. I have read that you can't take higher doses of lezetto as weak. So I think I am asking my GP to go back to estradot 50 and get a mirena coil. I have a mirena coil when I was younger and never had breakthrough bleeding. And to be honest would also mean less to think about in morning and evening.  :)

It’s a minefield to me Chrixx. I think as soon as you discover the winning combination, stick with it, otherwise you can two and fro forever ( as I’m discovering) 🤷‍♀️😀

Hi Dallies, so happy for you that Lenzetto works well! How did you do the switch, e.g did you wait for bleed?
Did you go immediately to 3 sprays or started lower and built up?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Floo36, I thought I was rubbing it in! I’m late putting it on today so am about to now, I’ll rub in more thoroughly.

Thanks Floo36, I rubbed it in more and almost covered both legs. It took about 12 mins to lose the tacky feel which is a huge time improvement. I read your earlier reply about not changing things that are working so am sticking with the gel.
I hope things get better for you very soon.

Hi Ella, I switched from 3 pumps to 3 sprays after a chat with a consultant gynaecologist who also prescribed testogel (my GP referred me as she said she couldn’t prescribe the testosterone as it’s unlicensed) xx

Floo I know what you mean about the way Lenzetto dispenses - it was me who commented that. But I also don't know if it just looks that way... ie. I can't know whether there is any difference in the amount of estrogen it dispenses every time (but I totally know what you mean... sometimes it looks like it does!).

Nas, it certainly is a handy product in terms of how it dispenses!

Ella I really think it's a lot of trial and error unfortunately and you won't know until you give it a go. If you are anything like me you will know pretty soon if the dose is too low. Another option is if you have been given multiple boxes in a prescription you could tape over one of the dispensers and get half a spray that way (so could 2.5 for example). It's a bit of a faff but it works (so you have two boxes on the go at a time, one that gives a full dose and one that gives a half).

Good luck - keep us posted, would love to hear how you get on x

My menopause doctor is Louise Newson thankfully and we have spoken about the different types and strengths because I’ve been on them all.  One spray of Lenzetto does seem to be closer or less than one pump of gel but individual absorption comes into play, you may absorb the gel fully but only 10% of the spray for instance or vice versa, it is trail and error.  Ella the spray in my experience as I’m still using it doesn’t give exactly the same each time either I’ve noticed this when I look at where I have sprayed each time, someone else mentioned it somewhere.  I think once you are on enough Estrogen you shouldn’t really notice too much but then we are all so different.  I do know that if something is working keep going with it otherwise you could go backwards.

Hi Floo,
this is interesting what you say about the dose not being exactly the same each time with Lenzetto either. Do you think it relates to how the spray (device) itself works? I noticed also other ladies have mentioned the same. Can you feel any difference or is it just you visually notice the dose being a bit different?

Like you say, small dose variability shouldn't really matter so much, but unfortunately for me I feel it still does which probably is a signal that I've not reached an optimal dose yet. It feels at the moment that I can feel even the smallest variations and its tricky with the gel as I find it impossible to apply it exactly the same way every day. Or maybe even the absorption can be a little different depending on the day.

Ella from my perspective it's just that you visually wonder if the dose looks a bit different, I've never felt any difference. And most of the time I'm sure it's just my imagination. One thing I learnt is that you have to hold your arm up and spray it straight at your arm when you spray, not hold it downwards onto your arm like I was doing at first xx

It is so difficult when we are suffering.  I have learnt though that it’s never been the hrt that was giving me all sorts of symptoms but my own hormonal ups and downs because I don’t absorb much so I am now carrying on increasing the dose until my symptoms are relieved.  I just hope I can get there as I am losing hope when I get a dip again.

This is a good point. It may be for me too that it's also my own hormones fluctuating in the background which creates the instability, and not the HRT. I do have a feeling though that I am absorbing because most of my symptoms have disappeared or at least decreased in quite a stable manner over the past 2 months that I've been back on the gel. Unfortunately, while the physical symptoms are almost gone (for which of course I'm very very thankful!), I'm still not finding a good balance with the mood and continue to have symptoms (anxiety, nervousness, generally feeling 'off'). So now I'm trying to understand if its just going to take even longer for the mood to stabilise but that eventually it will happen, or if in the end this HRT regime is not going to solve that, and I'll need another change. So difficult to know what to do...  ???

Hope you will get to a more stable place soon! xxx

Ella, I really think you need to try increasing because as you say you have improved and I think it sounds like you are nearly there.  You have nothing to lose and it just may be it.

Thanks Floo, I really hope you are right! Occasionally I also feel myself that I'm 'almost there', but then comes a bad day (like yesterday) and I feel I'm nowhere  :o But I guess this is the way it goes and the path is not stable as long as our own hormones go wild in the background.

Ella,
Are you on the gel? I feel very similar (I may do separate post). I've been on gel and utro for one month, physically feeling better and in week 3 I was feeling much less anxiety, had a period last week, and it's all come back. I started on one pump and increased to two. I still wonder if that's not enough but don't want to increase too soon. I've read that it can much longer for mood to be helped. I hope so. As I dont have side effects at all, I feel this regime suits me, but I'm risking my relationship right  now as I'm not nice to be around.

Hi Winter, yes I'm on the gel, just recently increased the dose slightly and I'm now ca 2.5 pumps (I'm actually measuring the dose by the milligram in order to keep it exactly stable  ::)).

I know what you mean re: the periods - for me also period seems to always mess things up and I've felt almost going back to square one after several weeks of progress. Very frustrating.

It's difficult to know when is the right time to increase dose. I'm trying to give each tiny increase some 2-3 weeks. It's quite slow as I'm only increasing a very small amount, but I find my body being slow to adjust, so I feel its better not to rush.

What are your main symptoms at the moment, is it the anxiety or also still some physical too? Take care xxx
