Sazzle, I’m sort of in the same boat as you. I had to stop HRT and have been plunged head on into a huge bout of debilitating anxiety. I was prescribed citalopram 40mg , but told it could take 2 weeks to work. In the mean time I actually feel worse with severe noise sensitivity and irritability.  I’m just not me!

I don’t know weather to ask for something different re. HRT.

I only went on HRT for hot flushes and body pain, no anxiety at all!!

I really hope you start to feel better soon. I completely understand how you feel xx

My problem was my head asking "Will this ever end, will I ever feel better"  :-\.  Eventually I learned tactics and with medication, am able to cope most days ;-)

Hi ladies, so good to listen to you all and know i am not alone! I started HRT patches last thursday, i feel so angry, tearful, depressed and like im not going to get over this, cant concentrate at work and i feel i am constantly saying sorry to everyone! I will let you know how i get on with patches, physical symptoms nausea but that has eased,  just my left calf feels tight and irritated! Great being female isnt it!!!
