If she hasn't prescribed oestrogen I would push for it. The mirena provides the progestin you need to protect your womb but your symptoms are from oestrogen deficiency. The nhs don't routinely test levels so most of us don't know what ours are and I believe the level you need to feel well varies between individual. As you're peri your level will change over the month too. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Emo10

How are you now? I wondered if you’d had the results on the pheocromocytoma? I have an appointment with an Endocrinologist to rule this out as I am having constant feelings of panic/anxiety. Dr said it’s very rare but she wants to rule it out.
Hope you’re feeling better x

Hi JoannFan, my bloods came back clear for pheochromocytoma. I'm pleased but annoyed that they put me through all that when they are so unwilling to consider peri as an option.

I've blooked an appointment with the only sensible person at my practice (the nurse) to sort out my oestrogen and coil. Going to go fully armed with my report from the private Dr.

Hope your news is good too.
