My sister is considering HRT, she is 52 as she is suffering with mood swings/ hot flushes and night sweats.
The doctor has suggested a oestrogen patch with utrogestan tablets.
Does anyone know what the advantage is of using utrogestan tablets rather than taking a combine patch?
The reason we are asking this is that we know nothing about utrogestan and my sister was expecting to be offered the combined patch also I am on HRT but use a oestrogen patch and mirena coil for my progesterone also another friend has the combined patch.
Any guidance on reduced risk / advantage of utrogestan tablets would be welcome.
