Where do people apply their Tostran?
« on: June 24, 2021, 08:07:25 AM »

I've started using Tostran today and was told to rub it into my outer thighs. However, the leaflet says rub on inner thighs or lower abdomen.
I would love to hear where others rub their Tostran and opinions on the best place to do this? Thanks in advance.

Started on thigh which became hairy so now I use the sole of my foot where it seems to work just as well and doesn't become hairy  :)

Yes, I put it on lower abdomen which became hairy, but it should never have been randomly prescribed without knowing how oestrogen levels were.

I use Androfemme, Mintea, and apply on outer thighs or lower abdomen as per directions.
Hi Avalon
Its confusing as my menopause specialist said rub on outer thighs, the leaflet that comes with it says inner thighs or abdomen (though these are instructions for male use - not sure if women should apply to different sites than men) and the stick on prescription on the box says apply to centre thighs. I'm not sure where the centre of thighs is - is it the centre of the front or inside or outside? Very unclear. I'm just wondering how important the site used is for absorption or is avoiding fairness the main issue?

Hi Sheila
Which part of the thigh did you use it on? Were you advised to use the sole of your foot? Seems a good solution if it works. How do you know it's working though?

Its prescribed by a BMS specialist. How long did it take to become hairy and are you still using it?
Hi inner forearm and rub in with other inner forearm . X
Its interesting how people use different sites so presumably not that important? Hoe are you finding it Dotty?

I used front mid thigh about because gel goes on inner thigh. Someone on here said they used the sole of their foot so I did the same, I put it under the arch where the skin is thinner. The old site is still hairier than it should be though it's hardly noticeable now, it used to be very obvious. I have not had any return of symptoms since changing site.
