I'd love a bidet....but right now i'd struggle to rise from one! Getting off the loo atm takes great powers of concentration.  :) Just before my back injury i'd decided to have a new bathroom fitted...more out of necessity than desire ....current one is very jaded ( just like me  :) )  I've had to temporarily put it off cos I don't think I could cope with the upheaval .

Hi JeanJenie,

When you fit a new bathroom , look for a toilet that is higher to make it easy to get on and off. You can get them at different heights. Also think about raising the basin , so you do not have to lean so much. Back issues are awful.

Thanks pepperminty! I didn't even know you could get different heights....that would be great. Would be good for my youngest and middle sons too...ones 6'4.....the other 6'6. They call our bathroom the Hobbit bathroom. ;D

My Mum had a higher than 'normal' loo fitted, it took some getting used to  :o.  She was advised at the age of 91 .........
