New looking for advice
« on: May 26, 2021, 10:39:24 AM »

Hi,
I am new to the site and will be 47 this year. I have intermittent sweats, mood swings, low libido, irritable, hair falling out, light periods, joint pain and some other symptoms. This has been ongoing now for over a year. I was given fluoxetine and have spoken to the gp today who it wouldn't be unreasonable to try hrt for a few months? Any advice I would be grateful

Welcome.  Some find keeping a mood/food/symptom diary of use to chart progress.

MayB decide which symptom you would like to ease first?  Browse round!

Hi Kat2310.  I'm 48 and wish I had started on HRT years ago.  I experienced everything you mentioned for years on end.  Unfortunately my GP did NOT suggest HRT or ask me anything about my menses in general.  I just started HRT and even though its been only 3 weeks, I'm seeing a lot of positive changes.
