Ovestin and mood
« on: May 28, 2021, 07:02:36 PM »

I was put on ovestin a couple of weeks ago as my labia was sore and itchy. I didn't read the instructions and was putting it on at nite and morning and calmed a bit but not gone. I did notice however that my mood level improved.  I have now cut down to mornings only and topping up with vagisil. I intend to go down to twice a week now ( as per instructions) but noticed today my mood level dropped off. Wondering if I had a boost through the ovestin and now coming down. I am also on estradot patches 100mg and mirena coil and Testogel. I was thinking recently that maybe my patches should go up to 125gm as I had migraines around the time I might have had a period. Am I having too much or too little oestrogen. Any thoughts?

Coincidence?  I've used it for 5+ years at night, but it hasn't affected my moods etc..

It's so localised. 'vagifem' and 'ovestin' shouldn't have any effect on other replacement therapies.  If the symptoms remain continue inserting every night for another 2 weeks.  Vagisil ......... I put 'ovestin' on the inner and outer vaginal area so that I know what is working.
