C-19 flow testing
« on: May 23, 2021, 02:54:37 PM »

How is this supposed to work?

After filling in a form we had to do a test each B4 visiting Mum on Thursday.  We put DH's mobile number for each contact on the form.  Tests were negative.

2 hours later DH got 2 beeps on his mobile.  However, data was incorrect: surname spelt incorrectly, dates of birth not relative to either of us ......  :-\ .........

Because China doesn't have a particularly good human rights record as well as the World buying more and more cheap products ........ the World wanted cheap products but it's time we reviewed what cheap actually means.

Back to flow testing - any1 know why the data was incorrect .........

I do 2 LFT's a week for my two teens for school and the text that you get is just a copy of what you have entered on the initial form. I put DS down as a female once and it was there in all it's glory on the form.
So maybe whoever entered the details into the system made a few mistakes.

Tnx.  We weren't asked for any personal details by the manager of the care home  :-\ so she guessed?  So that's a true record? MayB not.  DH loves it, she made him 3 years younger than I am  ;D

Why is anyone reporting it if it's negative? DD has to do one for her educational sessions but no one else sees the results.

It's a legal requirement to report all tests, so that an overall idea of where pockets of C-19 might be forming.  It says on the packets ......... [made in China  >:( ].

He'll be reminding you of the age gap for evermore, CLKD.

Apparently all test results, positive and negative should be reported. It's a PITA, but i'll keep doing them until i'm told otherwise.

Oops, I haven't read it  ??? Is it really a legal requirement or that just what it says? I can understand it if the test is positive but aren't we doing around 3 miliion tests a day and I can't see anyone being interested in circa 2.9 million negative tests.

PITA means ?

He does keep telling others Barnacle  ;D

2 get an idea on the spread of the various variants across the UK.  I'll read my leaflet when it's to hand.

I'm not sure what you mean by "getting rid of Asia"  Do you mean that we no longer buy any products from all Asian countries?

Well I go to the top of our stairs!

A local family: parents, 5 children, granny in the annex.  Mum vaccinated in November, husband due his 2nd next week.  3 year old and Granny spend a lot of time together.  Dad works from home.  Remaning 4 children in school ............. all were having regular flow testing from Jan 2021.

However: in mid-April, the 2 eldest children felt ill so were tested properly: both positive.  3 days later, the 9 year old tested positive, followed 5 days later by the Dad.  The latter 2 were really quite ill, not enough to be admitted but pretty close.

Isolation was necessary.  As did all those that they had been in contact with.
