I go to the top of our stairs  :bang:

I could of course get DH to A&E but his knee isn't an emergency.  He would require an Ambulance as I no longer drive in towns.

The earliest phone appt with our GP is next Friday  :o.  What DH needs to know is whether he should get the affected joint X-rayed to find out if there is damage, B4 going to a private physiotherapist.  He is sending an e-mail to the GP 2 C if that will hurry up the process.   :-\

So the GP is in effect, dealing twice with the same patient, if he/she needs 2 B seen.  Up until C-19 shut downs, we could get a face2face appt within 24 hours  :argue:

CLKD perhaps it might be worth getting a taxi to get to A&E so as to get the x-ray done. Or perhaps one of your friends could run you in. It might help to prevent further, long lasting damage to his knee.

I feel so lucky to live in Australia and have Medicare. Since Covid I’ve see my doctor face to face (about 40 times).  All our medical centres are open, and I can get appointment the same day, if an emergency I can just walk in and wait to see any doctor at any surgery.

All our hospitals are opening and doing operations. I got to the dentist all the time. And had ultrasounds, MRI, X-rays, seen specialist, etc, the whole time during Covid.

Even in New South Wales and Victoria were all the Covid problems are there’s no problem seeing your doctor face to face.

My brother couldn’t pee, and then he did, he pee a blood cot last weekend, took himself to emergency, was operated on within hours. And stayed in hospital for a couple of days, then sent home. A nurse comes to his house every day for five days to check blood pressure, blood tests etc. at no cost because of Medicare

I count my blessings to have a good Public Health Service here, and feel for you ladies going through menopause and other health problems in the UK.

Oh that was a shock for him! at least dealt with Lycola.

Strongkat - there's no one to ask.  At 10.30 a.m. on Wed I sent a text to my neighbour to ask her husband for help to move a glass cabinet.  We waited for a 'phone call as arranged so that he could gain entry, but he had forgotten  >:(.  I had to send a text to her this morning 2 find out what had happened.  Apparently he is 'busy'.  Either could have rung and apologised.  A few moments ago he came home, got into his wife's car and they drove off  :-\.   :-\

DH is walking OK with no pain.
