Decapeptyl injection plus tibolone
« on: May 01, 2021, 12:00:12 PM »

Hi everyone!
My question is quite specific but this seems like the best place to start! I am awaiting a full hysterectomy after years of issues with fibroids. I’m 42 and have 2 children. The pain from the fibroids was debilitating and affecting my work and every day life-the consultant prescribed decapeptyl injections which worked brilliantly to control the pain (after a couple of months’ worth). Due to covid, the waiting list for the op is long (up to a year potentially) so the doc says I can continue with the injections but only if I take HRT alongside to combat the risk of osteoporosis. I think the injection is usually only licensed for up to 6 months use. I’ve been taking tibolone for nearly a month but I’ve noticed over the last couple of days that the pain is starting to be more noticeable again-are all the hormones clashing? Am I about to explode?? 🤣
If anyone has experience of this I’d be grateful for a chat. I’m a bit all over the place with it all at the moment...
