Hi Pineappletop

Thanks for the update. I seem to be a week behind you and likewise not noticing much difference yet. Be great to hear how your next week goes.

Hi Cookie25, glad you're not getting any negative sides at least, hope you feel benefits soon. Sorry, I did get your PM but I can't see how to reply, I think maybe I'm not able to PM yet because I'm new? Anyway, I think my last post answers your question x

Here's a positive story from me too: I was, for 3 years or so, on Elleste Solo and Utrogestan. I was not happy with my doctor who prescribed them at a menopause clinic so I switched gynaecologist who recommended the Evorel Sequi patches. I have never looked back. The only issue is that after quite a few years of being happy I have recently begun to have a little bit of hot flushes at night although I notice I hardly do if I don't consume alcohol and am thinking of just do without it!

Hello Ladies

I've done about 4 weeks on vagifem now, 2 weeks on everol 50 and today put on my first everol conti patch. Half patches as discussed before.
Before starting HRT I had put on some weight on my tummy that seemed stubborn to shift. The menopause specialist said the hrt should stop me putting on more, but today I feel really chunky and am starting to panic that this is going to spiral out of control. I like to be slim and cannot deal with being overweight. Can anyone relate to how I'm feeling and have any advice please? Xxxxx

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't updated in a while it's only becuase I haven't really had anything to report. Apologies also for not replying to @Cocobra and @Cookie25 I'll have to look at how to get notifications from this site...

I'm now on my 7th week with Evorel Sequi. I still haven't noticed any significant changes compared to how I was before.

I have been getting a bit achy and I'm finding it's taking longer than usual to recover after my workouts, which I do suspect is a side-effect, I'm hoping this will ease off as seems to be the advice.

I had a heavier than usual "period" on week 5, a day or two after applying the third Conti patch (this would have been in time with my pre-hrt cycle).

Yesterday I applyed the first Conti patch in my current (second) pack and I've already started a light bleed. I'm not concerned at the moment, I know it's normal for the withdrawal bleeds to take a while to settle down, but thought I'd record it here.

I'm still getting night sweats, although they may have eased a little. Haven't noticed any major improvements with the mind fog (my main reason for seeking treatment) but again I feel like maybe it's easing just a bit... that could just be wishful thinking though!

I was a bit mood swingy last week, but that happens sometimes in any case.

At least I've had no major negative sides I guess - but if I don't see any improvement within the next few weeks it doesn't seem like there'll be much point in me carrying on with the patches. Will let you know. :-)

Hi lovely, how are you feeling now? We all have to those "chunky" days, hope you're feeling more positive? x

That's great to hear Cocobra! Thanks for letting me know. I get hot flushes whenever, but alcohol definitely makes them worse... not ready to give up red wine though! ;-)

Just a quick update.

I stopped the Evorel Sequi about 6 weeks ago. No problems really - I just couldn't get the patches to stay put!

I know most people don't have a problem with them, but they'd only stay in place for about a day for me. So my GP has switched me to Oestrogel (oestrogen in gel form) and Utrogestan.Applying the gel every night is a bit of a faff, but at least I know I'm getting my proper dose.

So, I'll stop updating this thread now. I'm going to start a new one about my new treatment. :-)
