HRT costs
« on: March 17, 2021, 01:41:21 PM »

Hi everyone,

I am 48 and have been prescribed 3 months supply of utogestran and some gel for the very first time in the hope that I will feel normal again.  Does anybody know how much this will cost? I am taking vagifem too.  Just wondering whether one of those prescription prepayment certificates would make things more economical.

Hello!
You’ll be charged 2x prescription costs (£9.15 each)  so depending on how often you get the Vagifem, it might be worth you getting the prepayment certificate (£29.65 for 3 months, £105.90 for 12 months)
I do this,  as I also have 3 monthly migraine and asthma prescriptions.

I had a pre-paid cert which really helped, everything prescribed went on it.

Do read the 'bladder issues' and 'vaginal atrophy' threads too.   :welcomemm:
