Woah! It sounds like your GP needs to refer you to a Menopause Clinic as soon as you can!
I went from using 4-6 pumps of Oestrogel daily, with breakthrough symptoms, to two 100 mcg Estradot patches.
GP’s ordinarily can not prescribe more than the recommended dose, but a Menopause Specialist can and will. They also follow it up with directions for your GP to carry on prescribing it and they can.
The Specialist I saw thought I’d get a more consistent dose by using patches instead of gel.
I have happily used them until the last 6-9 months where I struggled to get my level high enough to feel well.
I have been lucky enough to speak to a Menopause Qualified GP at my doctors’ surgery and have just swapped to Lenzetto spray.
So far so good
