Hotels accepting dogs can be a good bet. No need to cook ;-). Situated within walking distance of various points of interest. Making sure that they have a car park on site is important for us. 'cos I usually 4get something in the car when I get to the room
It will depend on the area you fancy , might it be worth looking further 'out' from your chosen place especially near the coast? Tourist information web-sites can often give accommodation so that you can book directly. 'pets welcome' book - we used it with success, no going through agencies which is something we never do, preferring the monies to go to the owners.
We have always had a discount for 2 + dog if the property can accommodate more people ......... there seems 2B plenty of accommodation according to the Sat papers.
If 1 can't get booked anywhere, mayB look at your local region to see what days out are available? Museums, walks, cafes on the beach ....... not many of us actually look closely at our nearby architecture etc. ;-). We have Warwick and Leamington Spa within 1.5 hours drive which we enjoy, usually, twice a year.
