So - easyjet etc. offering flights out of the UK. However: how many people are aware that governments in mainland Europe are slagging off our vaccines? suggesting that their public don't take them ? and are now at least 3 weeks behind us with the vaccination programmes?
Wonder if they would have had a different attitude had the UK remained in Europe? How much sour grapes around our vaccines is due to Brexit? Call me a cynic but no way would I fly to an area that is unlikely to be safe. C-19 can be carried even by those who have been vaccinated, until evidence says otherwise. So those in mainland Europe who have resisted being vaccinated will pose a risk to those in the UK who go on holiday.
Now is the time for Boris to put a stop to outgoing flights to unsafe countries, I suspect that many in Europe rely on incoming travellers from the UK as well as those here who have properties in Spain etc.. If we can't travel 'outside' the areas where we live, why encourage flights abroad?
