Severe Aches and Pains when coming off HRT
« on: January 13, 2021, 12:52:25 PM »

Hi

Just wondered if anyone has experienced severe aches and pains all over when coming off or reducing HRT.  I was changing from one type of patch to another and due to continuous bleeding was advised to come off the existing ones (progynova) before going on to the new ones (Elleste Solo).  My whole body felt like it was shutting down, had severe aches and pain everywhere, even in my fingers - I went straight back on and have started feeling a bit better - now thinking I will have to stay on it forever!

Appreciate any replies.

When I came off hrt nearly two years ago at 61 my joint pains were so extremely painful , knees neck shoulders legs fingers elbow, I was walking like an elderly lady, gone back on hrt and already feeling better with less joint pains

Hi Monalisa - Thank you for the reply, have gone straight back on it too - it is quite scary to think that I will probably need to be on HRT forever as I can't feel like that again!
