Hello everyone, have been lurking in the shadows for a while reading around - this is a great forum and I can't help but think that it should be obligatory reading for all medical professionals dealing with women 'of a certain age'.
I have a lot to ask (and a lot to say!) but thought I'd introduce myself here first before bombarding the other sections with posts.
I'm nearly 65 - forced to start full strength systemic HRT 7 years ago due to increasingly horrendous symptoms - the prime motivating one being to do with vaginal atrophy (as I now know it). Five years of relief getting on with a normal life (as one would expect no?) only to have the HRT I was using (Nuvelle continuous) discontinued. Nice pun there.
Cue endless horrors trying to find a replacement not only that would work as well, but that would just work.
Currently trying Elleste Duet Conti (just over three weeks now) after it too being unavailable literally for years due to the so-called shortages (can you tell I'm not a happy bunny as regards all things HRT and menopause related
).
Nothing doing so far but I persevere, as do we all eh? given there's not much else we can do.
Looking forward to meeting you all around the place
p.s. love the smileys, but couldn't find a wave (as in wave hello). Is there one similar?
