Changing to Vagifem
« on: December 18, 2020, 12:55:04 PM »

Hi Ladies
I have been taking Ospemifene for the past 5 weeks which works wonderfully for VA but during the past 10 days has caused pins and needles and joint painalong with a pain above my left breast.
Regretfully the side effects are becoming to painful and I will have to try Vagifem again. I have no VA symptoms at this time Will I need to do a loading dose or start off at 2 a week and see how it goes?

Do a loading dose.  Do read the vaginal atrophy thread, lots of good tips on it!

Wet there?

I hadn't heard of the product you've been using, that's why I asked.

Some ladies find that 'yes' or 'sylc' products are useful too.  Browse round.

It's a oral tablet. But not Hrt. It's classed as a Serm and targets the vagina, a bit like tamoxifen targets breast cancer and can be used by women that have had breast cancer. I thought I was on a winner this time. I had previously used Vagifem for a couple of years with no problems at all but since April had nothing but constant burning and changing the dosage made no difference. It was making me ill as I couldn't sleep. Hence the change.
