Evoral continuous patches
« on: November 23, 2020, 10:05:53 PM »

I am 56 and been on hrt for about 5 years was on a sequel hrt up until end of 2018 when I was put on a continuous tablet called kliofem 2mg/1mg about 7 months after I started them I had a heavy bleed and had spotting then on and off for a few months my doctor referred me to a gynocoligist but he said all was fine. THe bleeding then settled and then started back up July this year only spotting but was constant my doctor referred me urgently to pmb clinic thank god after all the worry all was ok she said it was the hrt that I was on causing the problem to either come off them or to go on the patches so after some thought and chat with my gp she put me o. Evoral continuous 50 patches. I started the patches 9 days ago and feel terrible just had a heavy period which I know can me normal after changing over but it's the aches and pains every part of my body is hurting similar to flu my joints are aching and headache. I spoke to a doctor today and she didn't really know much except try it a little longer see of it settles I feel awful and am at the point of just taking patch off , anyone experienced anything similar I'm just had enough now I will persevere them if I thought it will settle the only upside is since I've gone on them my boobs are back to normal no aching and no heaviness feeling and my stomache is not bloated like before any advice please

ive been on evorel conti patches since feb - i feel ok on them now but cant seem to stop bleeding... now im on for a week then period stops for 2 weeks then back on again... its getting ridiculous, i had a scan and it was normal was told to give it 6 months to see if it settles.... i dont know what to do now..... i went to see a private gyn that specialised in menopause, paid £220 and was told to carry on or have merina coil fittted and go on the gel but i dont want a merina........im so confused..... before i went on these i went 18 months with no period, im also 56. Good Luck

I suspect the progestin in evorel doesn't agree with you. I would either ask for something different or try evorel on a sequi regime which will show you if it's the prog that's the problem. What was the sequi hrt you were on before? Could you go back on that if you OK on it? Don't assume you're meno just because of your age, some women aren't meno til their early 60s.

Hi, I have been on this regime now for 3 months and feel the same Jan1234.  Aches, pains, arms burning, chest tightening, nausea, dizziness sooo I went private and trying the Mirena coil and gel regime.  I have a polyp which will be removed at the same time. I am having this put in on the 1st December.  The only thing that I can say slightly improved for me on the patches was sleeping.

Holding out for this - i am hoping this works! Been searching for a fix for 6-7 months now.

I was on femeston sequel up until November 2018 but I was having painful periods and with back problems I couldn't stick the pain so I asked my doctor if I could go on a continuous and she said that would be ok as I been on hrt for a while and I was 54 at the time but I don't think the conti are agreeing with me
