I saw the advanced practicioner today for an internal exam and a check as I am still sore after increasing Vagifem to a daily dose.
Apparently I have a healthy cervix
I mentioned that I was using it daily and she told me, after 2 weeks, not to do so!
Can anyone point me to info so I can show her. Worried I won't get my next prescription

She's incorrect.  It's such a small amount of active ingredient that many have to use it nightly. For Life ;-).  MayB give the surgery a ring and explain - ask what she is basing her info on too?  If she is worried she can read MM or ring Dr Currie ;-).  Don't wait until your next script is due.

Join Jane Lewis's Vaginal Atrophy Facebook support group (private) where you will find many resources in the files section, including a letter from Mr Hamoda, chair of the BMS, to Jane stating that you can safely take 5 a week. There are also good resources on her Instagram page (@my_menopausal_vagina).

The Estring vaginal delivery system delivers 7.5mcg/24 hours of estradiol, so is equivalent to just over 5 Vagifem per week.

Vagifem used to come in a 25mcg version until it was discontinued for commercial reasons. Two of those a week = 50mcg = 5 of the low dose version.

Your story is depressingly familiar to those of us in the fb group. I do not know why these medics get in such a flap about the minute amount of oestrogen in local products. Strongly recommend you join us on fb, there is oodles of support and advice.

What is an advanced practitioner when it's up and dressed?

I had to ask about advanced practicioner , basically a nurse at the top of her game!

I saw a meno specialist and she said it was quite safe to use daily, she detailed that in letter to GP so anytime i get questioned about it i ask them to refer to the letter on file.

Did you see the question on FB a few days ago from 1 member who had been told that it was only safe to use a single Vagifem twice a year?  I thought it was a typo but was wrong.
