Or don't wear your glasses. I find that also helps when I check my wrinkles in the mirror. Much less without my specks

I find keeping the curtains closed on bright sunny days helps, that sun really shows the dust.....

so when we do take things to auction I have to get out the Pledge ....... DH is down there now, shampooing the settee .......... windows open, fresh smell all around, carpet dried by 8.30 p.m. ......... now, about those ornaments: garage sale anyone

Your husband is very welcome to shampoo my carpets! I even have a carpet shampooer sitting unloved in the cupboard. I simply haven't got the energy to use it. I suppose a bit of husband nagging would help, but that requires energy too. At least he wields the vacumn. I shall just stop wearing glasses.

I can't push the VAX carpet/furniture washer and once I threatened to 'get someone in' DH went and bought it! Looks great now!

That's a really good excuse CLKD
How many more of those do you have for getting out of things. I can use our carpet washer just fine. Got a leather suite so that's not a problem although it does get a leather treatment twice a year done by me
As I said I hate clutter so don't have that many ornaments. I do dust under them once a week though. Mrs Fussy, that's me

I have never washed or cleaned a car in my life! Hubby has OCD when it comes to cars and keeps both his car and mine in tip top condition. I get told off if I leave stuff lying around in my car. The OCD disappears as soon as he enters the house! Mmm! He's left his motor bike gear in the hall. Just sleepily tripped over it!

I can't use the hoover, so when somebody gave me a voucher I got a Roomba, so my husband didn't have to do it either. Now I just spends ages putting everything movable out of reach, so that it can clean more thoroughly...sigh

I clean mine twice a year whether it needs it or not
It drives my husband mad as he keeps his in tip top condition but he is not allowed to do mine - after all - I don't go and throw mud over his do I so why would he need to wash mine?

I HATE hoovering the car. Don't mind giving them a wash/rinse but haven't the energy to add polish, they both require it though
Harvesting locally so everything is covered with a fine dust
