Itchy skin
« on: August 31, 2020, 03:05:39 PM »

Hi everyone.

I am being driven mad with itchy arms, I’m just thankful it’s confined to one place!
The doctor prescribed some cream which just seemed to make it worse.
Anti-histamine helps a bit.

I can feel that the skin on my arms is very dry , I’ve tried Aveno and E45, has anyone tried anything else that works?

Probably lack of oestrogen.  As levels drop the body maybe come dry: skin, eyes, deep in the ears, nostrils, vagina ........ 4 me it was my insteps at night, as soon as I took off socks and stepped in2 the bath!

I get this too but, strangely, only my right forearm and not all the time. I thought it was chamomile tea as it always seemed to be in the evening after my cuppa, so l cut it out and it stopped. Back now though.  There's no rash or anything to see, just itchy. Very odd!

Try coconut oil.
Or a body butter. I find body butters stay on for longer. x
