My favourite group early 80s was REO speedwagon and my friend and me used to ice skate every Saturday afternoon at Billingham Forum (great memories) they used to play Keep On Loving You by REO speedwagon and we would sing what we thought the lyrics were which I cant remember for the life of me what we sang but when we went to have a look through smash hits in the newsagents the following week, they would print the lyrics of the songs in the chart that week, and I can remember how shocked we were to see the lyrics of one line weere "You played dead, but you never bled
Instead you laid still in the grass, all coiled up and hissin'" I know for a fact we never sang that!!
A saying I still get wrong at times is "give up the goat" instead of "give up the ghost" something like that.
