Terry Wogan used to have songs that the words weren't always clear and listeners mis-intepretted them.  Can't think of any .......

Frank Turner - "she's so wrapped up in her invisible armour" is interpreted as "she's so wrapped up in her invisible Llama"  and my partner always sings "your muscular kisses" instead of "your musk and your kisses" from a favourite song of ours. It took me ages before I told him  ;D

For years I thought the lyric to a Bon Jovi song was “On the stale horse I ride” and not ‘steel horse’. Honestly even though I now know the real words I swear it still sounds like stale 😂

Once you've sung it wrong, you can never sing it right again, it's stuck forever!

prima.co.uk:

40 song lyrics you've been getting hilariously wrong!
No we did not build this city on sausage rolls. From Adele to ABBA this top 40 list of misheard song lyrics will definitely get stuck your head!

Most of these will set your nerves a jangling and you'll have an ear worm  ;D

As well as Terry: with gems such as with “I was sick and tired of everything, when I called you last night from Tesco” in Super Trouper and “Children with eyes like potatoes” in La Isla Bonita. There was another about potatoes in the field  :-\ "Lucille - " by Kenny Rogers .....

Can't remember what listeners thought it might be  :D

Good thread!

Jimi Hendrix..." 'scuse me while I kiss this guy"  Actual lyrics are " 'scuse me while I kiss the sky"

Not a Hendrix fan but I always found this funny  ;D
