Have not felt great since having the Mirena coil fitted! Lots of nausea and low mood which obviously could be lack of estrogen? I’ve increased again to Sandrena 4mg to see if that helps! Anyone else has nausea with the coil! The GP who fitted it said I wouldn’t have any side effects as the progesterone does not go into the system ?? Is this right ?
Getting so fed up with the whole situation at the minute! Would just like a normal good day 🤞

hi, I've had the mirena for years, never had a problem at all with it after its been fitted and the initial uncomfortable tummy that night, tbh one of the best things I've had. Doctors recommend i have one more when this one comes out but i might try the injections instead, don't get me wrong, the mirena has been great but I do find it painful being put in & taken out.

Yes, that's right, the Mirena's doseage means it stays within the womb; I have also said the same thing in an earlier post in the hopes of reassuring you! Don't give up just yet, it might be something else and it also might be your body adjusting.  :)
Honestly,  if this hadn't worked for me, I would have had to give up completely on the whole idea of hrt, as the other form of progesterone I tried made me feel very teary and I had heartburn :-\
I hope you feel better soon-Hugs!

Thank you both for your encouraging words! I do think maybe it’s actually my hormones playing up! Should get me blood test results today to at least see if I am absorbing the Sandrena🤞 Will persevere like I always do for the 3 months then it will be Xmas and hopefully all will be ok to celebrate!

Flan 747 - when I had the coil fitted I felt a bit grumpy for a couple of days whilst things settled down.

I did have minor bleeding for about 4 months, which was a pain in the backside! But now things have settled down I’m so glad I had it fitted.

Stick with it and hopefully things will work out  ;)

I have been bleeding most of the time with it since it was fitted,  glad to know it isn't just me!

You definitely deserve to have success now with this regime, you've really persevered through everything  :)

Thank you so much!
Blood test result has come back at 356 which is the highest yet! Specialist said i need to get to 500! I have emailed her but she is unable to respond until Wednesday! Surely I can’t have more Sandrena? I do need more as so unsettled

That's great news! Keep your focus on the progress you've made for right now, and discuss options with your specialist when she's back in touch  :)

Thank you Britt66! Reading some stories in here makes me realise how lucky I actually am!
Will let you know what the specialist says! She did sayid reading was still low she would consider adding another preparation! No idea what that could mean!

You're welcome! Oh, it's exciting that there are other things you can take or use, to get those numbers higher  :)
Yes, let me know!

Message from my specialist as I have just had Mirena fitted we have to make this week 1 of a regime and start all over again! So here we go again! Hopefully she doesn’t make me wait the full 12 weeks before changing things! Not woken up feeling great so a little disappointed to say the least 🙈

When you say start all over again, does that mean from when you had the Mirena fitted last week? How many weeks will you be going back?

She said that this would be week one and they like you to try a new regime for 12 weeks! Feeing awful today so hoping it settles! Can’t stand this for 12 weeks! Don’t know if I need more or less estrogen it’s so confusing! I just feel like I’m one step forward 2 steps back!

But its really just 1 week back in effect isn't it? I know, 12 weeks is a long time, but maybe worth doing it just to be sure either way?
