Leg cramps
« on: September 08, 2020, 02:23:13 PM »

Hi I have had my femoston dosage 3months in 1/10 upped to 2/10 but In the last week have been experiencing leg cramps in both legs waking me up but particularly in right lower calf and foot
Can I expect this to go away in time and should I just persevere? Or could it be something unrelated to hrt? Anybody else experiencing this please

Granny always told me that cramp is lack of salt in the diet.

Hi Cloudkrista.

I'm on Femoston conti, and I occasionally get calf cramp. Omg, it hurts like the clappers!
Jumped out of bed, frozen to the spot, trying not to shout out in pain! I'd wake everyone up. 😆 Then when it does go, get back into bed, but one false move, it's back! 😡😡
Absolutely a nightmare. I even had it on my foot and ankle area. 🤷‍♀️ Never had that before.
I think it's a side effect for some reason, I'm sure I've read it somewhere.
It does settle down, I havnt had it now for a while. Although, it's been replaced with restless legs now, which I get quite often, never had that before in my life until now. 🤷‍♀️
Don't know which ones worse than the other tbh. xx

Cramp goes quite quickly, RLS can last all night  :-\.  Does the HRT make you pee more often which can be a cause of salt loss?  'nurofen' eases RLS for me or lots of bananas ;-)

Aww yes, it does last, sometimes well into the next day. I can get up, have breakfast and my legs feel like they're crawling inside. Horrible.

DH has had cramp a lot in the last few months, in the early mornings he's jumping out of bed trying to be quiet  ::)

Lack of salt can cause cramps.

Haha, yeah, that's the key isn't it. TRYING to be quiet. 🤣😂🤣
It's always a muffled, Aaarrrrrrrr! 🥴😆

Tell you something, no one ever moves as fast as they do when they get cramp. Puts speedy Gonzales to shame! 🤣😂🤣🌪🌪

Yep.  My feet have ached recently like they are going to cramp ........... DH stretches in his sleep, I'm not good as he leaps out of bed as I'm usually deeply asleep.
