When I was little and stayed with my grandparents, grandma would cook a casserole with stewing steak, carrots etc along with purple broccoli and little new potatoes grown by grandpa on his allotment. We always had this as I lapped it up, yet was a rather pathetic, skinny specimen. It was made with love. Lovely memories.

I was never allowed Angel Delight as a child. My mum deemed it too unhealthy. But it looked so yummy...! I should go and buy some to make up for years of deprivation 😂

It's not the same  ::). We had the cheaper version ..... 'instant whip' ........ would 1 get away with naming a product that these days  ;D

Cooked cold cockles on warm toast for breakfast

Being not very well off, we rarely had cream on our pudding.

I have fond memories of sponge puddings with evaporated milk.
