Hi Ladies

This morning I was speaking with a Nurse working in my surgery. I told her I was using Oestrogel 2 pumps previously 4 pumps for 8 years. She told me it was far too long as your body becomes sensitised to the gel and therefore a return of symptoms is inevitable.

I have had a return of symptoms recently so wondering if I should try a patch??

It worked well for about a year for me.

Then I had symptoms return late afternoon, despite increasing the amount used. I went from using 4 pumps in the morning and 2 in the evening to using a 75mcg patch.

I think you’ve done amazingly well being ‘controlled’ for so long - might be worth the change if you need to up your gel more than the 4 pumps

Hi your return of symptoms is probably because you are not getting enough oestrogen. I’ve never heard of becoming sensitised to the gel. x
