Where did this pain come from?
« on: July 31, 2020, 02:59:38 PM »

Hi all.

I've been getting quite stiff for a few years now but loosen up as soon as I move about. However, today my wrists and feet and even my toes are killing me!  It feels like I've been lying on them the wrong way and Im getting a sharp pain every now and again. Where did this comes from and why is it happening?? And if its just getting old, it sucks.

No I haven't tried cod liver oil, i take quite a few supplements but not that, i'll give it a go  :)

I feel shit today, tired, hot, headachey, shocking period cramps but normal bleeding...I actually dropped my oestrogen to 1 and a half pumps morning and night because I was worried I was using too much, i might go back to 2.

Does that coincide with the aching joints? The drop in hrt?

i might go back to 2.

2 pumps of gel is equivalent to a 50 patch.  It's not a high dose at all.  I use 125 patch and it's not enough now.  All those aches and pains are from lack of oestrogen not too much.  Go back to 2 pumps and if it's still a problem, try 2.5 and then 3.  We can go to 4 a day before we need a specialist involved, although obviously we need GP's to prescribe it at that level.

As oestrogen levels drop the body may become dry: inside and out; nostrils, vagina, deep in the ears, skin, scalp, between the toes ...... as well as muscles may become lax = aches and pains.  As the body ages joints lose a lot of the WD40 effect so eventually joints rub together or become stiffer.

Maybe try an over the counter pain relief especially if you plan some activity such as lawn mowing.
