Everol 50 advice
« on: July 29, 2020, 11:51:20 AM »

Hi,

I'm on day 8 and 3rd patch of Everol 50 after changing from progynova 1.5mg tablets and I feel terrible !
Irritable  tired and low, I thought I was supposed to feel better as this is a purer? dose,   I'm due to go away next week and panicking that I'm going to feel terrible.. plus I was be switching to the conti patch.. tried every progesterone going but cant tolerate,  so been progesterone free for a few months, so its imperative I switch to the conti.. just want to feel on an even keel not an emotional wreck.. I just dont understand why feeling bad on the eosteogen part?   Has anybody experienced this? Could I not be absorbing
Thank you x

Hi LW44
I managed 17 days on Everol and ripped it off on Saturday! Couldn’t stand the low mood, palpitations and anxiety!also my sleep was awful on them. Went back to gel and felt better within 48 hours! I’m now slowly increasing the gel as don’t absorb well! I’m on 4 pumps but specialist has said it may take up to 8 to get me up to where I need to be! Good luck not an easy ride is it?

Hi Flan747

It's not is it?? Did you struggle on the everol estrogen only patch aswell?   I thought this was the feel good part..not even started the conti yet..
I just feel agitated and everything making me want to burst into tears.. like it's all too much..
I hope you start to feel better soon, I'm waiting for call from drs to see if can get a prescription for my usual tablets.. progynova x

Yes I use Utrogestron as my progesterone which I have no problems with. Gel worked ok for me before but not the best so switched to Everol to see if they would be better absorbed. No idea though if it didn’t absorb or actually absorbed too much! I didn’t hang around long enough to find out I had to rip it off. I know some say give it time but I just couldn’t cope with it any longer !good luck with your GP

As soon as I hear from GP it's getting ripped off.. same dont know if absorbing too little or too much.. all I know is I've not felt this bad for a long time.. I'd rather have the tiredness and mood swings on the tablets  than this constant horrible feeling x

It’s a minefield and trial and error! I’ve tried all regimes and so far the gel is the best for me but as I said not great but I would take it over the awful feeing I had with the patches! We are all so different and am jealous of people who feel well on the patches as they were so much more convenient! Let us know how you get on x

Well thank God I got the gp who specialises in HRT!

She has prescribed me the gel along with the utrogestron tablets to take for two weeks, she has also at my request prescribed me my usual oesteogen tablets, the idea is try the gel if not working go back on the tablets..  phew..
Patch ripped off.. will start gel tomorrow.. she advised between 1 and 4 pumps?   How long till the evorel leaves my system ?   Thank you so much for your advice x

That’s fantastic news fingers crossed for you! My specialist said only about 48 hours to leave the system I went straight onto the gel that evening and it was about 48 hours before that horrible feeling had gone! Still not feeling great but manageable and going to give this a real good go and increasing very slowly to 8 pumps then she had requested a blood test for FSH and LH to see where my hormones are at and possibly go into a continuous regime! Good luck and keep in touch x

Will do,  i just feel relief it's off!  Ok I'll grit my teeth for the next couple of days and hopefully it will go.

I had my bloods done at menopause clinic.. still waiting for appt to gp through them..but dr says very low oestrogen levels and typical peri menopausal levels on the fsh etc... x

Try and keep as busy as you can over next few days! I even cleaned my husbands shed as no more to do in the house! We will get there I’m sure of that! So many positive stories on here and obviously we don’t hear about most of them as we come in here for help! Take care
