One is in peri until one reaches menopause regardless of the gaps between bleeds.  Menopause literally means 'cessation of periods' but we don't know until at least 12-18 months after the last.  I carried protection fo 5 years after, in case  ::)

I had intermittent rage issues although bizarrely it has settled a bit since my daughter went to uni. I can still go off the deep end without too much provocation and then feel really, really bad about it afterwards and I can be irritable for England - think breathing noises, eating noises, sniffing  :(

My periods are still 28 days and I am due to start on HRT next week due to mood issues.  Looking back the lack of confidence and self esteem issues started in my early forties and I am now nearly 48 and I am really starting to struggle

So helpful to read these posts about rage and anger... Thank you XXX
I'm experiencing similar tho it's difficult to try and separate it... As I'm going through some intense therapy dealing with old issues.. guess the anger I feel is a mixture of stuff from therapy and menopause issues...
I love my partner, so afraid I'm going to push him away with my intense feelings of rage.
