Hello ladies,
I have tried various hrt preparations for the last 5 years and settled on Estradot 100mg patch, plus Utrogestan 100mg (vaginal route) nightly, and small blob Testogel daily. I am 59 and would like to continue with HRT for a good number of years yet. I feel I don't want to take the Utrogestan continuously vaginally for such a long period and also it's making me feel a bit sedated now (didn't get on with taking it orally).  I am considering switching to Evorel Conti patch. I realise this would be lower oestrogen but wonder if my body may be happy at that level now. Does anyone have any experience of switching from a fairly high dose oestrogen patch to medium and will I experience side effects?
Also, does the Evorel Conti just come in the one strength (my prescription just says Evorel Conti and does not mention strength).  Any advice would be gratefully received.
Thank you x

Yes that is right. I can't comment on switching because I have only tried Evorel Conti.  You can use half patches instead of full ones to reduce the effect. I was told to do that to start with and have just returned to halves.

Thakns Kajeto, can I ask why you have returned to half patches? Are you having problems with bleeding? How long have you been on Evorel Conti patches?
