Well, the crows have finally figured out how to get at the seeds, they cling on to the side of the cage, stick their heads through the little gaps for the little birds, then ping the feeders until some seeds spill on the ground,I cannot believe how clever these birds are but those gaps near the feeders have now been covered with mesh,so we'll see what they do next  ???

Not in my garden thx - watch on News video ;)

Traffic outside of Singapore's presidential palace was disrupted after a romp of otters decided to try and make their way across the road.
Thankfully, police on guard outside the palace were able to stop traffic to help the otters get across.
Singapore's otter population is on the rise after ant-pollution and reforestation teams helped them return to the area.
The comeback is not without its side effects, with incidents of otters attacking humans being reported and expensive koi fish eaten from ponds.

Omg the wild birds round here are so fussy, they go through sunflower hearts like there's no tomorrow,so because they're so expensive for a 20kg bag I bought some cheaper but still prime mixed bird feed,so two feeders with sunflower hearts, all gone, the one feeder with the new mix........the opposite of all gone and I've just bought 20kg of it  >:(

;D. ours were the same, however.  I throw the mixed grain on the ground in a different area so the blackbirds and pigeons can clear it up.

We had a brambling here today.

I put out sunflower hearts for the goldfinches. Their beaks aren't able to open whole sunflower seeds.

They still make a mess though Taz fortunately the larger birds as well as gold finches will pick up from underneath.

A robin is feeding another robin, we assume that they might be friends  8)

We have a hedgehog in our Scottish garden woohooo.
I was sweeping up leaves yesterday and I uncovered a huge green toad, big as my hand, hope I didn't hurt him  :'( why would a toad be so far from water? Or do they not need it?

Toads live in damp spaces.  They don't frequent water in the same way as frogs do.  Granny had a toad and a lizard under the front step - I would spend hours as a child waiting for them to emerge.

Did the toad gulp and hop away?
