Not enough blackbirds you need 4 and 20 blackbirds to bake into a pie  ::)

I put the outside light on for a quick look at the garden last night and saw a hedgehog   :) I haven’t seen one for a few years.  I was really pleased to see it but then thought shouldn’t it be hibernating, it was quite big and fast moving, it looked ok.

Mine have been out and about, though not in the last couple of evenings - none caught on camera.  This changeable weather must be confusing a lot of animals that would hibernate  :-\

If there are badgers and foxes it is less likely that they will survive  >:(  :-\.  Add to that lots of new builds = roads, traffic .......

LOTS of foxes and badgers round here, such a shame,as he would waddle round our garden as if he owned the place  :)

Just because you don't see them doesn't mean they're not there. Foxes and hedgies seem to get along ok here but Badgers are definitely happy to unscoop a hedgie for dinner.

Forgot to mention on here(don't know how) but when we were on the ship, north of Africa somewhere   ;D I NEARLY saw a whale lol was sitting on our balcony when suddenly this huge jet of water went 30 or 40 feet in the air,it did it 4/5 times, getting further and further away sadly but the creature didn't surface fully,I was soooooo excited, don't know what I'd be like if I actually saw one  ;D

CJ Wild bird food offices have been hit by a severe fire this morning  :'(

Swans at Windsor culled due to bird 'flu  :-\  :'(

Thus far our birds look healthy and I move where I feed them every day now.  A jay was here for about 30 mins. earlier  8).  I am making them clear up under the feeders, particularly as the frost has gone so the soil is softer.

Is it best to move the feeders clkd? Do the feeders need extra cleaning? I'd hate to think I was doing more harm than good  :-\
A fox trotted right across the road in front of the car yesterday, thankfully the usually busy road was quiet.
Ha, I don't need an excuse for another cruise clkd  ;D
