There will be, as with otters, a lot of road deaths.  Animals don't respect vehicles.

I wonder if young beavers 'purr' when the Mum goes into the den?

I think Ash dye back has reached us 😢. I've been leaving the self seeded ones on case they're the few that are resistant. Still some leaves but the top is bare.

Our self seeded ash are fine but the various forests don't want them  :-\ so I have to cut them out.  They R thugs in a small garden  >:( but such a shame that they can't be at least registered and recorded !

Pigeon is looking down at the food, wondering  ;D

Our high flyer seems to have a routine.  Sticks around all day, watching from the roof top - hopefully the sparrow hawk doesn't happen along  :o
Down to feed at 7.30-ish, up onto the roof for a preen, then into the neighbours' satellite dish for the night  :D

Magpie was hiding probably.

Well: it didn't take long for the rats to return  >:( once I began feeding the pigeon on the floor  :o.  I thought I saw a rat 🐀 running across the patio in the gloom at 8.30 so I put the cameras out.  Yep, little Bu***r is back ..........   I need to find another way of feeding Claude  :-\

I've not been keeping up with this thread. What kind of pigeon is it? Have you got any feeders with saucers on hung from trees. That's how I feed my wood and feral ones.

The things that attract the rats most to my garden are the suet balls and any fruit. We only ever see one but the three cats have given up trying to catch it now and just open one eye as it ambles past them  ;D

It's a high flyer Taz.  Several haven't found their way home because of a severe storm shortly after being released 3 weeks ago.  I have contacted the owner who lives in Watford, London as the phone number is on one ring.  We have been able to read the ID ring so I will let him know when it's cooler.  They hail from Slovenia (I think) and fly high, up to 3,000 feet.  It's really pretty :)

This morning in hot 🥵 ☀️ I've moved the plant pots on the patio and brushed all the small seeds away, watered the pots and stood them back.  They will need feeding B4 it rains at the weekend.  Claude was looking on from above  ;D

I have hung a feeder but whether it will be able to put it's 2 brain cells 2gether, remains to be seen  ;D. The sparrows and tits can get under the dome so that's about the size.
