Help with Utrogestan
« on: May 21, 2020, 02:07:07 PM »

Hi Ladies,

I'm looking for some advice please.

I've been on Oestrogel 3 pumps daily and 200mg of Utrogestan day 15-25 for around 6 months. I feel great on the Oestrogel but suffer mood swings, low mood and terrible headaches while taking the Utrogestan for the 11 days.  The GP said she isn't licensed to prescribe vaginal Utrogestan but i have read on this forum the oral tablets can be used vaginally with less side effects. I am going to try this method to see if this helps, if it doesn't my only other option is the Mirena coil (i've tried a other progesterones with same side effects).

When using  Utrogestan vaginally - can i just use a pessary holder and would i still have to wait 2 hours after insertion until i eat?

Thanks ladies  :)

Hi bigbird

 :welcomemm:47

Food intake does not affect utrogestan used vaginally,  only oral ingestion.
