Continuous combination patch
« on: May 05, 2020, 05:31:40 PM »

Hello- a newbie so pls forgive errors in posting.
I have seen two different drs due to moving.
My main issue was sudden insomnia and waking very hot (Though not sweating) at night.
One put me on (at 48 yrs and still having increasingly closer together light periods) the US combipatch which equates to I think, the lowest dose of evorel combi.
My periods stopped.

I then read up And tried Sequential utrogestan and oestrogen patch.
Migraines arrived like a steam train.
Didn't go until I stopped.
Tried two types of estrogen at this time.
briefly my period returned.

So I Went back on the combipatch and things were fine, I sleep much better, couple of headaches but no migraine.
I'm still on the patch (5 weeks) but I'm suddenly feeling dry sinuses and waking with headaches then woke with a migraine in the night.

These are all things I suffered in pregnancy too.
I read about ?progesterone accumulation? and wondered if it had somehow built up to end in a migraine and that I should quit the patch but I may have got the wrong end of the stick there!

Would anyone advise whether I should go back to sequi maybe evorel since the noresthisterone was ok for quite some time or something else?
I came off everything and immediately the insomnia returned.
Sorry for the long post and Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

As you're peri you should be on a sequi regime. Evorel would be a good choice as you know you can tolerate the prog.
