Hi Daisie

I'm so sorry to hear about what you've gone through... how traumatic and I'm not surprised you?re still in shock. I haven't got anything to add to the other helpful responses other than what helped for me. I have tried antidepressants in the past but they weren't for me. What did really help was CBT. You can read about it and ask your GP? (I just read a book about it but I think there are courses on line) it's basically re wiring your brain to help you think about things differently.. it takes some effort to begin with but after a while it really does help and becomes a very natural thought process (it definitely made a difference to my cancer last year)... anything's worth a try!

Hope you start to feel better soon Daisie xx

Hi Daisie,

Can't help with antidepressants, but mindfulness is a life saver. Sending healing vibes and a huge virtual hug. 🤗

You are very welcome.  Little steps.  Do you keep a diary of how you feel etc.?

There's usually someone around on here  ;)

How about yoga?  Or look on the net to see if there are any ideas, maybe contact MIND Charity and ask if they have apps or tapes?

In the meantime do some deep breathing?  Start at your feet, stretch the toes, hold, relax.  Work up the body through all the muscle groups, this can be helpful in the early hours.
