If you had 24 hours to really enjoy yourself?
« on: April 04, 2020, 07:19:30 PM »

I would have a skinny dip in the pool off my bedroom

a mixed fruit breakfast

A leisurely walk along a beach with hard sand and warm breeze

A few hours with DH .........

Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, frozen peas, New spuds with mint, mashed spuds
Lemon meringue pie

Another swim in that pool off the bedroom ..........
A body massage and a shampoo with good scalp scratch

Bed watching a sunset

May I add a foot massage, my heels are so ruff right now having spent months in socks  ::)

I feel a spa weekend in the offing  ;)

I can dream. I'd get up on the morning to find that every sheep had lambed, all looking after them like the should do, all the  :cuss: ewes that like one lamb but won't feed the other will decide they like them both, all the triplets whose mother doesn't have enough milk will suddenly have a new mother and the lamb with a bent neck (triplet, not enough room to grow properly) will have a straight neck and be strong enough to feed itself. The grass will have grown, I'll open the door and they can all go out in the sun. Then I'd go back to bed and sleep for a week. Perfect.

The point is you should treat every day as if it was your last anyway.  Even if it's enjoying the little things, that would do it for me.

I do already and when I say cheerio I don't expect to see anyone in future so it may be a bonus/not the next time  ;)

This is out of living each day ........... DH decided he will go to the Grand Canyon, Northern Lights and digging for opals in Oz, that's a lot to pack in in 24 hours  ;D I wasn't suggesting Time Travel

I'd go down to Cornwall with DH, the DC's and dog and surf all day, then cook our food on the beach. Wouldn't fancy the drive home though!

I'd go for an early morning swim in the sea, followed by a barbecue breakfast on the beach, then it would be a walk through one of my favourite national trust gardens, ending up at my local cafe for the best flat white in Britain.  Lunch & pottery painting with my four best friends, then a boat trip up the river and along the coastline, dinner at my favourite restaurant and then walking along the beach again to watch the sun go down.  All these things are several hours drive apart, and two of my best friends live the other side of the world, but no one said my 24 hours had to be realistically achievable!  (Oh, and in an ideal world, none of the calories consumed during this day would count)  :)
