Progesterone dosages
« on: March 12, 2020, 09:44:01 AM »

Hi everyone. I am after some advice about taking progesterone. I'm intolerant to bio identical (anxiety, suicidal thoughts etc) and the synthetic progesterones all exacerbate my hair loss.(even a low 25mg dose) I'm post meno 7 years and my consultant wont entertain either vaginal or a non continuous dose. I'm just keen to hear other peoples experiences of reducing dosage or vaginal use and if it might help. Also how I get my consultant to agree!. Thanks so much

You can also use it cyclically, the consultant will never know unless you tell him (200mg for 12 days). If you use less than the recommended dose you should have scans to make sure your lining isn't building up.

I'm currently on evorel 25 patches and 25mg provera tablets daily which I was doing ok on until my hair starting falling out again after 3 months use. It was the same after being on femoston. It seems that the continuous use of progesterone is causing this. Thats why I was wondering if i take progesterone less or vaginally it might help. Is it only a private meno specialist that would help with this? I'm sorry I dont understand the dosages if I was to take it cyclically
