Menopause clinic London
« on: March 06, 2020, 10:00:15 PM »

I was wondering if anyone can recommend the menopause clinic which is in Harley Street? It appeals to me as it also specialises in premature menopause. Or does anyone have any other recommendations in that area?

This feels like a big decision so I would be grateful to hear of your experiences.

Thank you

Hi Jennijx

You can find information about all the BMS recognised menopause specialists here:
https://thebms.org.uk/find-a-menopause-specialist/

I think Nick Panay and his team practise there and he is one of the top people. There are other top people there too I think. Just have a look at the list and then google the practitioners. See if they've published etc.

If you're in London thought there are good NHS menopause clinics although there could be a long wait eg Nic Panay practises at the Chelsea and Westiminster which is a very highly regarded menopause clinic. Sorry I can't help with experience; I only went once to a meno clinic 5 years agoand the menopause gynae has now retired, and that was in Bristol anyway!

All the best :)

I have had quite a good experience at the meno clinic at the Whittington in Highgate. I don't know how long the wait is though. I was referred quite quickly but by another consultant at the hospital not by my GP.

Jenni. I was referred to the Panay clinic under NHS at Chelsea and Westminster. I waited 5 months for my first appointment.  I dont know how old you are but as well as menopause over 40 they also deal with  "POI" .in women under 40.
