Dairy Milk and Breast Cancer
« on: February 27, 2020, 06:05:21 PM »

There has been quite a bit of news about dairy milk increasing breast cancer up to 80%!  Any news in UK about this?

Not heard this but I would take it with a pinch of salt.  Probably research by a soya milk company.

I have just read a Canadian media report.  There is NO causal link, which is the important part.  Also it was a research project in America and their livestock are heavily contaminated with ABs.  That is not allowed in the UK.

Ah that explains it shadyglade.  I live in Canada so AB's is very prevalent here.  I blame it on the US (just joking).

Crikey.  What ever NEXT  :cuss:

When this type of hype emerges, get hold of the Research Papers and see who funded the Research.  Years ago we were told that sugar is good for us: funded by the British Sugar Corporation  ;D

Lob a large bar of Dairy Milk at him - on my behalf ! ? !

After breast disease I was asked whether I planned on altering my diet  :-\ - well nope.  What ever had happened was laid down probably B4 I was born  ::).  There was no correlation between my diet and the type of breast disease that happened.

CLKD...Send over one of those eclairs!  As for Dingbat, the only thing I'd lob at him is the garbage he spews out everyday.  He can have it ALL back (must reach for Caramilk bar....BP rising...)

Hello ladies

I haven't read anything recently but my nutritional science sites mention dairy consumption. There may be a problem with the hormone content of milk and how it  contributes to our own hormones. This may not have been such a problem in the past however we now have  a breed of cow that produces milk while pregnant meaning even more bovine oestrogen gets into the milk supply.

As always it's wise to learn what we can and then make up our own minds.

Take care ladies.

When I was at the allergy clinic, the specialist there said we are not meant to consume milk,we are the only species on the planet who continues to consume milk after we are weaned

Yet most animals will drink it  ::) especially calves.  I remember what put me off milk: it was when we weaned the calves off their mothers so that they would continue to lactate - the calves were 2 days old and had to be taught to drink downwards rather than reaching up to a teat.  OH THE MESS AND STINK when encouraging them to use a bucket  ::)

Never heard of lactation and pregnancy at the same time though  :-\ but the 1st World has for years used antibiotic therapy - I believe that it still happens in the US?

People can be sensitive to lactose I think which is why goat products can be better.  But humans need fats ........ usually obtained from dairy?
