If you've had physio the pelvic floor specialist should have given you a pelvic floor exercise plan to follow?

Nowadays bladder surgery is usually the last resort after referral back to the urogynae team. I hope the referral has been made? Are you continuing with the exercises set for you? Don't give up on them. I agree with Birdy that you do need proper advice as the wrong exercises can do damage.

Why did you stop the exercises  :-\ and were you not followed up by the physio.?  ???

Why does your GP think surgical intervention necessary?  Did he mean 'surgery' or investigations ?  This is your body and until you know exactly what he is thinking and until he has referred you to the appropriate Consultant, breath ;-).  Maybe keep a diary of symptoms?

You could ask for referral to a Incontinence Nurse or look at the local Hospital's website to see which services they provide.  Then ring and ask what the procedure is for referral.

I saw my GP recently about a similar issue. I felt like I was leaking/dripping and my symptoms seemed to come on quite suddenly.  It's only when I gave it some thought that I realised I hadn't done any pelvic floor exercises for the best part of 9 months.....

GP referred me for an ultrasound to make sure my bladder is emptying properly.  In the meantime I have been using the NHS app 'Squeezy' which reminds me to do my exercises 3 times a day, it also times your squeezes etc and I do think sticking to the programme since early Jan has helped...
