Press Coverge about useless Doctors and the Menopause
« on: February 27, 2020, 11:57:22 PM »

I opened the Daily Mail today and was pleased to see a whole page article from Dr Max Pemberton saying that the way menopausal women are treated by GP's is downright scandalous.  At last some one seems to have picked up on what loads of us say here everyday and it's made national news.
Have a read:

Hi girls ,

I think he writes what people are willing to read, depending on the current headlines.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-5346147/DR-MAX-MIND-DOCTOR-menopause-mind.html

The common denominator is the iconic photo of the grey lady holding a fan.

I expect some GPs won't be glad to read it, but I hope some will start reading what really matters: scientific evidence based studies on menopause.

I watched Max's progress through Medical School and read his books.  Mark Porter is another I would trust.

I don't buy that particular paper though  :-\

Excellent article.   It will be the ladies, en masse, who can vastly change the medical community.  Individuals like Maryjane and others who are not only stepping forward but stomping forward.  👍👊

Maybe the ladies from the forum should all write to him with their experiences or comment on his twitter page and see if he can really take up our cause since he has written a whole page about it.  Maybe the whole thing would get some momentum and if it is in the press enough the Health Secretary Matt Hancock won't be able to ignore it then.

Hi girls,

He will certainly like that. Fortunately, the BMS has already sent a letter to Matt Hancock on this matter and bad press wouldn't be very helpful at this moment, imho.

Yes - great idea! Nothing like people women power in addition to the authorities taking up the baton - after all we are all individuals with valid experiences! Twitter twitt!
