HRT out of stock
« on: January 22, 2020, 03:05:47 PM »

This have been so frustrating, ongoing thing since july 2019, I normally take indivina 2mg/5mg for my post menopause. It went out of stock due to it being prescribed as an alternative for the ladies with patches. So I was switched over to indivina 1mg/2.5mg but I took 2 pills per day to match the dose I was on previously as a replacement.

today I got told that both Indivinia is out of stock until end of February which I am not convinced about as this have been going on since july. So I need to find an alternative which I did look at treatments on this website but it doesn't give me other alternative that matches nicely to what I have been on.

any suggestions? I have contacted my doctor and local lovely chemist about this too but I thought I would see if you wonderful ladies would have suggestions?

Thanks

Hello,

Isn't it frustrating?!

Here is a link to BMS site with HRT preps and equivalent alternatives, may be of assistance, good luck!

Hi sparklyweirdo

You would just take an oestrogen only tablet 2 mg listed here (Progynova is estradiol valerate but failing that any 2 mg estradiol tablet listed will give you approx same amount - maybe slightly higher dose:
https://www.menopausematters.co.uk/treatafter.php

together with Provera (MPA 5 mg luisted here ( scroll down):

Oooh that sounds a good alternative but I will have to see if the doc will prescribe it and if the chemist have it in stock.  I just saw that some patches are coming back into stock soon so hopefully that will help my meds to come back!

Thanks
